All about Disc Support

Recommended for animals with spinal pain, neurological compression or diagnosed disc herniation, and for breeds with a genetic predisposition to intervertebral degeneration. Disc Support combines ingredients with anti-inflammatory and regenerative action to halt the progression of the injury and restore the quality of movement to your pet.

✓ Support for intervertebral disc integrity
✓ Modulation of associated neurological inflammation
✓ Contribution to spinal stability

  • Animals diagnosed with intervertebral disc herniation (disc extrusion or protrusion)
  • Brachycephalic animals (tendency to hemivertebrae)
  • Neurological compression associated with vertebral lesion (Root signature)
  • Breeds predisposed to intervertebral degeneration, such as Dachshund, Bulldog, Basset Hound, Beagle, Chihuahua, Dobermann (Wobbler Syndrome)
  • Canine degenerative myelopathy in the conservative support phase
  • Active prevention in animals with a family history of disc problems
  • Animals with Wobbler Syndrome and spinal cord compression

Pillar 1: Intervertebral disc integrity
Harpagophytum procumbens and the curcumin complex act on disc tissues, helping to halt the degeneration process and preserve its shock-absorbing capacity. It's not just a simple pain reliever: it provides structural support at the disc level.

Pillar 2: Control of neurological inflammation
Disc compression triggers an inflammatory cascade that exacerbates pain and can compromise nerve conduction. Zingiber officinale and the curcumin complex modulate this response, reducing damage associated with compression and supporting the functional recovery of adjacent nerve tissue. The problem isn't just the pain: it's the process that fuels it.

Pillar 3: Support for vertebral stability
EPA and DHA fatty acids, supplied in the form of Lipidcaps, contribute to the health of nerve tissue and the reduction of chronic neuroinflammation, complementing the structural action of the other ingredients and promoting long-term spinal stability.

  • Progressive reduction of spinal pain signs: less reluctance to climb stairs, jump, or change position
  • Improved spinal mobility and range of motion
  • More natural posture, with less compensatory muscle tension
  • In cases of neurological compression, possible improvement in proprioception and hind limb coordination
  • Greater overall comfort in daily activities
  • Improved coordination and gait in animals with Wobbler Syndrome
  • Greater stability and comfort in animals with hemivertebrae and associated spinal compression, contributing to slower disease progression and maintenance of quality of life

Comparison of our supplements for dog and cat joints

  • Osteoarticular: complete structural support for osteoarthritis and degenerative processes. Indicated for chronic pain, joint stiffness, and reduced mobility in animals of all ages, from young animals with genetic alterations to seniors with degenerative processes.
  • Ligament & Tendons: focus on connective tissues: ligaments, tendons, and post-surgical orthopedic recovery, along with improved hepato-biliary metabolism essential for regeneration.
  • Disc Support: specifically formulated for intervertebral disc and neurological health. Indicated for disc herniation, spinal pain (orthopedic or neurological), hemivertebra, and vertebral compression (Intervertebral Disc Disease).
  • Muscle Boost: support for muscle mass and protein metabolism. Indicated for sarcopenia, body condition loss, and convalescence, particularly important in chronic diseases such as renal insufficiency, hepatic disease, oncological disease, and chronic inflammatory conditions. Muscle is essential for metabolic recovery capacity.
  • Immune Joint: indicated when the joint component has an autoimmune origin or exacerbation. Combines joint support with immune modulation for cases of immune-mediated arthritis, immune-mediated diseases such as Leishmaniasis, hemoparasites, and other diseases that disrupt the immune system (Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Atopy, Lupus).

The intervertebral disc can be supported. Disc Support was formulated so that this support can begin today.

Dosage:Administer daily with the main meal to maximize active ingredient absorption and ensure consistent supplementation.

Method of administration:Administer with a meal for better absorption of fatty acids and botanical extracts.

Minimum recommended duration:Continuous supplementation is recommended: structural and anti-inflammatory effects accumulate over weeks of regular use.

Compatibility:If combined with Toula's Full Balance or Antioxidant Boost, Muscle Boost or Osteoarticular, maintain individual doses.

Dosage per body weight (tablet + capsule):

  • Up to 10 kg: ½ tablet daily + 1 capsule every other day
  • Between 10 and 25 kg: 1 tablet + 1 capsule daily
  • Between 25 and 50 kg: 2 tablets + 2 capsules daily
  • Above 50 kg: 3 tablets + 3 capsules daily

Doses can be adjusted after the first two weeks of administration.

Storage:Store in a dry place, in the original packaging, at a temperature below 25ºC. Protect from direct sunlight and heat.

Warning:Consult your veterinary surgeon before starting supplementation, especially in animals with active disc pathology or undergoing ongoing medical treatment. Keep out of reach of children. Does not replace veterinary monitoring when indicated.

- Harpagophytum procumbens 300mg (ISA 200mg): standardized devil's claw extract, with clinically documented anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. It acts to reduce musculoskeletal pain and control disc and periarticular inflammation.

- Zingiber officinale 30mg: ginger extract with potent anti-inflammatory action, which complements Harpagophytum procumbens in modulating inflammatory pathways associated with disc and neurological compression.

- Curcumin complex 4mg: polyphenol derived from turmeric with strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity. It contributes to the protection of nervous and disc tissues against chronic oxidative stress.

- Lipidcaps EPA 225mg: eicosapentaenoic acid in a highly bioavailable lipid formulation. It supports the modulation of the inflammatory response at systemic and neurological levels.

- DHA 450mg: docosahexaenoic acid, essential for the integrity and function of nervous tissue. It contributes to the health of neuronal membranes and to the reduction of chronic neuroinflammation associated with disc injury.

How does Disc Support work

Dr. Someia explains how this product works and how it affects your pet. If you are unsure whether this is the ideal supplement, you can ask SofIA and receive a complete strategy tailored to your pet's symptoms.

Symptom

Herniated disc: the disc that compresses, the pain that limits

Disc herniation in dogs and cats is not just a matter of pain. When the nucleus of the intervertebral disc displaces and compresses adjacent nerve roots, the animal experiences intense pain, may become paralyzed or show paresis, alters its posture, and can develop progressive neurological deficits. The real problem is not the symptom; it's the inflammatory and degenerative process that underlies it.

Disc Support was formulated to act on this process. The combination of Harpagophytum procumbens, Zingiber officinale, curcumin, and long-chain fatty acids (EPA and DHA) simultaneously addresses neurological inflammation, oxidative stress, and structural support for the disc, integrating into a preventive or post-surgical care strategy essential for excellent recovery.

In the Toula approach, Disc Support can be combined with CBD to amplify pain and inflammation control, with Muscle Boost to rehabilitate affected paravertebral muscles, and with Osteoarticular when disc injury coexists with peripheral joint compromise. Together, they create a complete support protocol for your animal's spine.

Frequently Asked Questions about Disc Support

Yes. Disc Support contains ingredients with anti-inflammatory action, such as Harpagophytum procumbens and curcumin. In combination with prescribed NSAIDs, their joint action may allow for a gradual reduction in the need for medication, which should be evaluated with specialized veterinary medical support.

The more immediate anti-inflammatory effects, such as the reduction of pain and muscle tension, are usually noticed between the second and fourth week of continuous use. Structural support for the disc is a process that requires continuity: the benefits accumulate with weeks and months of regular supplementation. Disc Support should be a medium and long-term support to prevent and halt the progression of the injury and improve your animal's quality of life.

Yes. Disc Support is particularly recommended for preventive use in chondrodystrophic breeds, such as the Dachshund or Bulldog, which have a genetic predisposition to early degeneration of the intervertebral discs. Starting supplementation before the first symptomatic episode is a conscious care strategy. The ingredients are safe for continuous use, without the risks associated with anti-inflammatories.

Yes, and it is often this combination that makes the difference. Disc Support focuses on disc health and neuroinflammation. With Osteoarticular, it also covers peripheral joint support, which is relevant when disc injury coexists with dysplasia or osteoarthritis. And with Muscle Boost, it supports the recovery of paraspinal muscles, which often deteriorate in animals with spinal problems.
