All about Full Digest

Complete Digest has a regular intestinal effect that improves digestion and contributes to the control of local (intestinal) and systemic inflammation, impacting the entire body's health.

Indicated for animals with sensitive digestion, inconsistent stools, recurrent diarrhoea, flatulence, regurgitation, reflux, or a weakened microbiome after antibiotics, Complete Digest acts at the root of the problem: the gut.

✓ Formula with prebiotics, probiotics, enzymatic support, herbal medicine with anti-inflammatory effect, emollients that protect the intestinal mucosa.

✓ Supports the gut–immunity, gut–liver, gut–brain axes

✓ Integrates into a personalised Toula strategy

  • Recurrent soft or inconsistent stools
  • Episodes of diarrhea in dogs and cats, including watery diarrhea
  • Flatulence and visible abdominal distension
  • Intestinal imbalance after antibiotic treatment
  • Food sensitivity and digestive intolerances
  • Intestinal inflammation, including inflammatory bowel disease in cats or dogs
  • Pancreatitis and/or Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency
  • Recurrent ear infections or itching associated with intestinal dysbiosis
  • Digestive recovery in animals with gastritis
  • Animals undergoing oncological treatment, especially those with compromised intestinal microbiota
  • Animals with behavioural changes associated with intestinal dysbiosis
  • Animals with recurrent cystitis, dermatitis or chronic enteritis associated with intestinal dysbiosis
  • Animals with altered urinary pH or tear pH
  • Chronic dermatitis with an ear infection and pododermatitis pattern

Pillar 1: Intestinal microbiome balance
Complete Digest combines live probiotic strains (Enterococcus faecium and Bacillus subtilis) with FOS prebiotics to nourish beneficial bacteria and restore intestinal flora. Normalising intestinal pH reduces the environment favourable to pathogens and supports the production of short-chain fatty acids, essential for mucosal health.

Pillar 2: Enzymatic support for digestion
The enzymatic triad of Protease, Lipase, and Amylase ensures the efficient breakdown of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates. A functional enzyme system reduces excessive fermentation, directly responsible for the flatulence and inconsistent stools that owners most frequently observe.

Pillar 3: Modulation of inflammation and intestinal barrier integrity
The Silybin complex with phospholipids, Pulsatilla chinensis (phytotherapy), Bentonite, and Pectin work together to modulate the intestinal inflammatory response and protect the mucosa. An intact intestinal barrier is the body's primary defence mechanism: it directly contributes to systemic immunity and the overall stability of the animal.

  • Progressively more consistent and formed stools
  • Reduced frequency and intensity of diarrheal episodes
  • Less flatulence and visible abdominal distension
  • More stable appetite and normalised digestive behaviour
  • In animals with otitis or itching associated with dysbiosis: gradual improvement of skin signs
  • Greater resistance to digestive disturbances after dietary changes or stressful situations
  • Progressive normalisation of urinary pH and tear pH in animals with systemic imbalance
  • Reduced frequency of recurrent cystitis episodes in animals with compromised gut microbiome
  • Calmer and more stable behaviour in animals with behavioural changes associated with intestinal dysbiosis
  • Maintenance of intestinal comfort in oncological animals during and after treatment

Comparison of our probiotics for dogs and cats

  • Complete Digest:broad-spectrum functional intestinal balance, with probiotics, prebiotics and enzymatic support. The basic choice for dysbiosis, recurrent diarrhoea, post-antibiotic recovery and in animals with chronic diseases (with direct or indirect involvement of the gut).
  • Nutrimax:vitamin and structural support for the body in general. Complements Complete Digest in global recovery protocols.
  • Gut Care:more specific intestinal modulation, indicated when the focus is on a targeted intestinal inflammatory response.

The intestine is one of the body's main regulators: it controls 70 to 80% of systemic immunity. Intestinal balance is a strategy, not a detail.

Standard initial dose:

  • Less than 5 kg: 1 capsule every other day, with food
  • Between 5 and 10 kg: 1 capsule, twice a day, with food
  • Between 10 and 25 kg: 2 capsules, twice a day, with food
  • Between 25 and 50 kg: 3 capsules a day

Method of administration:Tablet for oral administration, directly or mixed with food. The dosage is adjustable according to clinical need. In acute situations, the attending veterinarian may advise a temporary dose adjustment.

Administration note:For animals taking antibiotics, administer Complete Digest with at least 2 hours separation. To facilitate acceptance, you can open the capsule and mix the contents directly into the food.

Storage:Dry place, below 25ºC, protected from light.

Warning:Keep out of reach of children. Does not replace veterinary care when indicated.

- Protease (3000 U): enzyme that breaks down dietary proteins into amino acids, facilitating absorption and reducing protein fermentation responsible for gas and strong-smelling feces.

- Lipase (750 U): supports fat digestion, essential for animals with digestive sensitivities or diets rich in lipids.

- Amylase (150 U): acts on carbohydrates, completing enzymatic support throughout the digestive process.

- Pulsatilla chinensis (90 mg): extract with modulating properties for intestinal inflammation, used in contexts of digestive upset and mucosal imbalance.

- Bentonite (60 mg): adsorptive clay that captures toxins and irritating agents in the intestinal lumen, contributing to the normalization of feces during episodes of diarrhea.

- Silybin and phospholipid complex (10 mg): Silybin, the active ingredient of milk thistle, in association with phospholipids for greater bioavailability; supports intestinal barrier integrity and exerts a hepatoprotective action.

- FOS, fructooligosaccharides (10 mg): prebiotic that serves as a selective substrate for beneficial bacteria, enhancing the effect of probiotics and contributing to a balanced microbiome.

- Kaolin (3 mg): gentle adsorptive mineral with a protective effect on the intestinal mucosa and an adjuvant role in normalizing feces.

- Pectin (2 mg): soluble fiber with prebiotic action and a regulator of stool consistency; slows gastric emptying and prolongs intestinal transit physiologically.

- Enterococcus faecium (2 × 10⁹ CFU): probiotic strain with proven intestinal colonization capacity; contributes to flora normalization and modulation of the intestinal immune response.

- Bacillus subtilis (1 × 10⁹ CFU): spore-forming probiotic, with high temperature and pH stability; produces natural digestive enzymes and has an inhibitory effect on pathogenic bacteria.

How does Full Digest work

Dr. Someia explains how this product works and how it affects your pet. If you are unsure whether this is the ideal supplement, you can ask SofIA and receive a complete strategy tailored to your pet's symptoms.

Symptom

When the gut loses its balance, everything changes

Recurrent diarrhea in dogs and cats is not just a problem with feces. It's a sign that the gut microbiome has lost its internal organization. When the proportion of beneficial bacteria decreases, the intestinal pH changes, the mucosal barrier becomes compromised, and the immune system, which depends 70-80% on gut health, begins to respond disproportionately. This is why animals with dysbiosis often present not only digestive changes but also ear infections, persistent itching, and increased susceptibility to infections.

Complete Digest acts on this mechanism on three simultaneous fronts: it restores the population of beneficial bacteria with live probiotic strains, nourishes this new balance with FOS prebiotics, and ensures that enzymatic digestion works efficiently and without inflammation due to Pulsatilla chinensis. The result is not just the normalization of feces: it is the stabilization of a system that regulates inflammation, nutrient absorption, and basic immunity.

In the Toula strategy, Complete Digest is, in most cases, the first step. In animals with skin manifestations associated with intestinal imbalance, it can be combined with Stop Itch to work on the gut-skin axis. In systemic inflammatory cases, the combination with Full Balance reinforces overall modulation. In post-antibiotic recovery protocols, it is used as the basis for microbiome reconstitution. Because stabilizing the gut is, almost always, the starting point of any well-constructed animal health protocol.

Frequently Asked Questions about Full Digest

Yes. Complete Digest was designed for continuous use and is safe for long-term daily administration when needed. In animals with chronic digestive sensitivity or a fragile microbiome, continuous use is, in most cases, the most effective approach: there is no dependency or habituation effect. If you have questions about the appropriate duration of the protocol for your specific animal, specialised veterinary monitoring will help define the most suitable strategy.

In most cases, yes. Complete Digest is a food supplement. In situations of gastritis, supporting the intestinal microbiome can even complement the effect of medication by reducing inflammation of the mucosa and supporting the recovery of the intestinal barrier. If the treatment includes antibiotics: in this case, it may be useful to adjust the supplement's administration schedule, administering it 2 hours apart from the medication to maximise the probiotics' effectiveness.

The first signs of improvement, such as increased stool consistency and reduced flatulence, usually appear between day 1 to 3 in acute cases and between 7 and 14 days of continuous use. In animals with more pronounced dysbiosis or after prolonged antibiotic therapy, the microbiome reconstitution process may take 3 to 4 weeks to become clearly noticeable. Improvement in skin manifestations associated with intestinal imbalance tends to be more gradual. The most important thing is to maintain regular administration throughout the initial period.

Complete Digest is suitable for both situations, with different objectives depending on the context. In acute episodes of diarrhoea in dogs and cats, it mainly acts through the adsorbent action of Bentonite and Kaolin, which help to quickly normalise stools, and through enzymatic support that reduces fermentation. In chronic problems, such as recurrent diarrhoea, food sensitivity or intestinal inflammation, the benefit comes from the gradual restoration of the microbiome through probiotics and prebiotics.
